Brother at Alpha Kappa Psi Delta Nu
Class of 2027
Hometown: st louis, MO
Major: psychology
Secondary Major: French
Working as Director of the PCC. In this position I have gained a deeper understanding of leadership, service, and collaboration. I have worked hard to be the bridge between the members of Alpha Kappa Psi and the local Dayton businesses. I have found deep fulfillment in organizing teams of brothers who consult with these businesses and bringing the skills we are gaining in this chapter to our community. I am very proud of the program and its benefits to our chapter and hope to carry the skills I have gained into my new role as Vice President of Corporate Relations.
I am very passionate about service. I find a lot of fulfillment working in roles where I can give back to my community. In Dayton I tutor every Monday through the non-profit For Love Of Children. In Saint Louis I am involved in raising money and alumni support for an underfunded elementary school in the city. In both roles I am able to give back to the kids in my communities which is something I am very devoted to and passionate about.
Aligns with my majors and/or minor. As a sophomore at the University of Dayton, I am looking to develop my professional experience outside of the classroom as career preparation. Any opportunities for me to gain knowledge through internships in Marketing or Psychology would be incredibly helpful in equipping me with real world experience.
In my professional development, AKPsi has opened a network of opportunities for growth and expansion. I have refined interview skills, built a resume, and learned important leadership skills. However, I have seen the most growth in my ability to communicate. AKPsi has instilled in me the values of networking, as well as the importance of community in any business setting. The members of this fraternity have pushed me to do my best work and become some of my best friends. It has taught me how far connection can go in professional achievement.
